Testing to normative documents

Testing against GOST, ISO, ASTM and technical specifications within the accreditation scope or as studies outside that scope.

Testing to normative documents

Product testing against normative documents

The Chemical Research Center tests products against GOST, GOST R, ISO and ASTM standards, technical specifications and agreed programmes when an appropriate method, equipment and technical capability are available.

Testing within the scope of accreditation

Before work begins, a specialist compares the object, required parameter and test method with the laboratory’s current scope of accreditation. A result may be presented as accredited only when all relevant elements are included in that scope.

Studies outside the scope of accreditation

If the object, parameter or method is not included in the accreditation scope but the work is technically feasible, it may be performed as a study outside the scope of accreditation. The result is not presented as accredited, and the status is stated correctly in the agreed and final documents.

Information required for an assessment

  • the name and description of the product or material;
  • the normative document or technical specification;
  • the required parameters;
  • the number of samples and available mass or volume;
  • the purpose of testing and required final document.

After reviewing the information, a specialist will confirm feasibility, accreditation status, sample requirements, timing and cost.
